F.A.Q.

WHAT IS THE 5X1000?
The 5x1000 is a tax mechanism in Italy that allows taxpayers to allocate a portion of their taxable income to entities or associations that carry out socially relevant activities. It is a part of our taxes that we can choose to donate to charity. If you choose to allocate your 5x1000 to the non-profit Saint Rita of Cascia Foundation, you will be giving a little girl of the Beehive the opportunities for the future that are every child’s right.

IF I DECIDE TO GIVE THE 5X1000, ARE THERE ANY COSTS?
The 5x1000 carries no cost. Please note that if you do not choose to allocate your 5x1000, this share will remain with the State.

I AM NOT OBLIGED TO SUBMIT A TAX RETURN. CAN I STILL GIVE THE 5X1000?
If you do not have the obligation to submit a tax return and you have income certified by the CUD, just go to any bank, post office or CAF (Tax Assistance Centre) and submit, in a sealed envelope, the supplementary form for the 5x1000 contained in the CUD. Be sure to write on the envelope "CHOICE FOR THE ALLOCATION OF THE FIVE PER THOUSAND OF INCOME TAX”, along with your full name and personal tax code.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I SIGN WITHOUT INDICATING THE TAX CODE?
If you sign without indicating any tax code, your 5x1000 will be shared between the entities and associations belonging to the category indicated on the box of the signature.

IS THE 5X1000 A CONTRIBUTION THAT IS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE 8X1000?
The 5x1000 is in no way and alternative to the 8x1000; they are two distinct mechanisms concerning two clearly distinct purposes. In fact, the 5x1000 concerns support for entities and associations of social utility, while the 8x1000 is intended for religious denominations.
