Saint
Rita’s Schrine in Cascia gives every pilgrim a meaningful
occasion of reflexion and prayer. Our lord has offered Saint
Rita as a truly and unique example of love.
Love has been her vital strenth and from this love, she was
always guided in every moment of her life, firstly as a wife
and a mother then as an augustinian nun.
Great is her forgiveness, her desire of peace,
her ability
of living the woe.
Anyone who approaches her message is attracted by the richness
of her virtues, those virtues she took from the great spiritual
teaching of her protector Saint Augustine.
She followed Simon Fidati’s scholar
(a blessed augustinian
monk from Cascia who lies next to her and she was enchanted
by
Saint Nicolas from Tolentino, another augustinian monk)
Rita is the pride and the joy of the augustinian family, and
she has always continued her work in her Schrine in Cascia.
During the middle of the 21st century this Basilica was renewed
and enriched by the Blessed Mary Theresa Fasce, Mother Superior
of the monastry
who is worshipped as well as Rita. |
