From its constitution (IN 1968) the Prelatura of Chuquibambilla was put under the Augustinian Italian pastoral and religious care who are also interested to the social, cultural and economic developement of this area helped by the presence of some female Congregations ( among them the Italian Daughters of the Crucifix and The Augustinians of the Divine Love). The current Prelate-bishop of Chuquibambilla is Monsignor Domenico Berni.
The Apurimac’s Association ( onlus) is born in 1992 to help the Italian mission that aims most of its social and developping projects in the area of the 3 High Provinces.
