The wedding ring and the rosary

Going down in the old monastery, it is possible to see the inside of the cell which, at the time of Saint Rita, was used for the correction of any serious misconduct against the Gospel and the Rule of St. Augustine.

Inside this cell, there are Rita’s wedding ring and rosary crown, very similar to those in terms of number of grains that we see painted in the saint’s hands in the oldest iconography.

This crown highlights another important element of Rita’s spirituality, her daughterly love for the Mother of God and the emulation of her virtues.
